Vizslas are a high prey/high energy sporting dog bred to point and retrieve upland game. There is nothing more exciting than seeing your pup's natural instincts. Even if you are not a regular hunter, the AKC offers Hunt Tests to test your dog's potential as a hunter, his/her desire to find birds and his/her ability to point long enough for you to reach them. The basic test is the Junior Hunter, the AKC has a great video detailing the JH title.
I encourage all my puppy owners to give this a try, there are areas to train in most every region and I am more than happy to help you get your pup started on birds!
